Siki Im
The life of Siki Im reads like a travel story: he was born to Korean parents, spent his formative years in Germany, studied engineering in Great Britain and worked as an architect in the United States. Siki Im’s love for fashion was ignited when working for such luminaries as Karl Lagerfeld and Helmut Lang, and he founded his eponymous label not long after in 2009. Books, films and history are the inspirations he returns to again and again, and consequently his collections often broach social themes.

The installation is made in collaboration with Winka Dubbeldam. In a few short years, this Dutchwoman has conquered the architectural world with buildings that incorporate an apparently contradictory combination of postmodernism and a no-nonsense approach. As a young architect, she snared a number of prestigious, desirable New York assignments with her firm, Archi-Tectonics.
