Artist Amie Dicke transforms magazine pictures into intriguing works of art.

Amie Dicke was born in 1978 in Rotterdam where she completed her degree in Fine Art at Willem de Kooning Academy of Fine Arts before relocating to Amsterdam where she is currently based. During a stay in New York without family or friends, she discovered that the only people that seemed familiar to her were fashion models in magazines. This paradoxical relationship with strangers continues to be an important motif in her work.
