AkzoNobel celebrates the future with Amber
AkzoNobel made sure Amber received a warm welcome in Arnhem by providing the location for Arnhem Mode Biennale, a former factory on the Velperweg. The largest paint company in the world used this space intensively until its closure two years ago. Now it is the biennale’s turn to bring a splash of colour to the immense building.
In 2007 the AkzoNobel head office moved to Amsterdam, but a large part of the organisation remained soundly put in Arnhem. With its role as hosting partner the company honours the factory and the city of Arnhem. Peter de Haan of AkzoNobel: ‘Arnhem Mode Biennale functions amongst others as a platform for new talent. AkzoNobel believes in the future, and therewith in Arnhem and Arnhem Mode Biennale. What intrigues us in the biennale is the fact that a broad audience is invited into the world of fashion for an entire month. We look forward to a busy, fun and eye-opening event.’
