The literary journal ParMentier is organising a literary fashion show in association with Arnhem Fashion Biennale. Five fashion designers have created an item of clothing:
Monique Van heist, Merel Boers, Mart Visser, Percy Irausquin en Jan Taminiau.
Five poets – Peter van Lier, Elma van Haren, Anne Vegter, Han van der Vegt en
Hanz Mirck, respectively – took their inspiration from the designers’ sketches in order to compose a new poem. During the
salon presentation – when the new designs will be unveiled – the poets will recite these poems, resulting in a unique symbiosis of fashion and poetry. The design sketches and the poems will be published in a special
‘Fashion & Literature’ edition of the journal.
