‘The most fashionable film festival'
Marketa Uhlirova and Christel Tsilibaris from London are the curators and founders of the Fashion in Film Festival (FIFF), a thematic ‘exposition' with films and videos.
For the Arnhem Fashion Biennale, Uhlirova and Tsilibaris have selected an especially glamorous programme of short films that tie in with the themes ‘The Enigma of Clothing' and ‘Assuming a Pose'. The FIFF is also screening film classics that every fan of fashion simply has to have seen, such as Paris is Burning and the graphically inspired film from the 1960s, Who Are You, Polly Maggoo?
After Arnhem, the FIFF continues on tour to the Tate Modern and the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) in London and to other cities.
